Meet Christopher West, Vice of Development, 20th Century Art & Design. He joined the company back in the fall of 2011. Since becoming part of the team, he has done much to advance Antique Helper's position within Contempoary Art circles. Plus, he's a pretty cool guy. We thought it was high time to toot cDub's horn.
At Ripley Auctions since 2011.
Educational Background: Indiana University
Other experience that makes you perfect for your job: Spent many years working at galleries including my own, plus five years as curator at the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art
What do you love about your job? The unexpected.

Favorite auction find: 19th Century ewer by Sir Christopher Dresser
If you could own only one fabulous object, what would it be? Jean Prouvé swing-jib lamp. Or a house designed by Tadao Ando.
What would you do if you weren’t working at Ripley Auctions? DJ/Race car driver.
When you’re not at Ripley Auctions, you’re most likely to: Be out on the old Vespa, catching a show at Radio Radio, or searching for a fabulous restaurant.
The best advice you can give to a collector: Read. Look. Talk to an expert who shares your passion. We love to talk.
Favorite lunch: the Batali sandwich at Goose the Market. It wasn't voted best sandwich in the country for no reason.
