LOT 86Roycroft Books 15vol Elbert Hubbard Journeys SelectEstimate: $100 - $200 Realized: $60 15 books by Elbert Hubbard, published by the Roycrofters. Includes 8 volumes of "Little Journeys To the Homes of the Great" (1916). The first page of Vol 1 informs that the the 14-volume set was "specially prepared by the Roycrofters in thier shops which are in East Aurora Erie County New York for Mrs. Anna C. Stafford." Lot also contains 7 volumes of "Selected Writings of Elbert Hubbard" (1922). All books have raw pages and ribbon pagemarker. Beyond the usual age wear, condition varies. One book is slightly warped, some show more page wear than others, but most damage is minor. Books appear to be substantially intact and complete. |
