Pierre Jules Mene (French, 1810-1879) pointer holding a hare, small bronze. Impressed signature top of base. 5"H x 7"W. Even, golden brown, patina. Provenance: Farber Gallery of Art, Indianapolis. The Farber Gallery collections were primarily purchased in the 1970's. The gallery was only open for a few years in the 1980's in Indianapolis. Most items have been in storage since 1990. All items with Farber provenance are guaranteed as described for an extended period of 45 days from the date of auction. Notification of concerns regarding authenticity must be made before the end of this period.
