 Embed this image:  | LOT 24QUEEN NEFERTITI 11" Paper Mache DollEstimate: $10 - $1000 Realized: $0 This doll is 1 out of a series of 12 fantastic hand made folk art paper mache character dolls with incredible likenesses to their character they are representing. Each one has a typed note with the characters name on the bottom. Queen Nefertiti is 11" tall. There is a final layer of cloth in the paper mache. The queen does have some overall paint crazing. (See close up photos). She is missing to sequins on her dress. There is some paint damage on her arms See sellers other auctions for the other 11 in this collection. The original owner purchased these at Saroff Studios in High Ridge Mo. The niece who inherited these dolls has seen photos with herself and these dolls when she was for years old making them at the very least 50 years old. |
