Franklin Dullin Briscoe (American 1844-1903) sailboat on choppy water; watercolor on paper; 10" x 20"; signed and dated, 1895, lower left. Trained with Thomas Moran (1860s) *In 1885 he painted a major historical mural, The Battle of Gettysburg, (whereabouts now unknown) that measured 13 feet tall x 230 feet long (ten panels). *from the archives of Askart.
