Antique wooden bucket or grain measure. Dated 1774, along with other impressed marks on under side of bottom panel. Impressed or carved cross pattern motif, hand forged nails, bent wood construction with reed strapping. 8"H (not incl. handles) with 13 1/2" dia. Evidence of one old repair; a replaced section at base, and a widening to inner handle hole on one side. A few old splits in wood. Probably refinished. Guaranteed genuine and vintage but of unknown origin and function.
