William E. Williams (American, 1818-1897) Folk art painting. Williams executed a number of watercolors as a teen in 1833 living in Wrightstown, Bucks Co., Pa. He died without heirs in 1897. This naive picture shows a hunter with musket and brindle dog. Image: 5 7/8" x 6 7/8". Good condition. These paintings were acquired from a descendant. There was an accompanying journal from the time describing Williams's activities and current events.
