Mary Bartlett Pillsbury Weston (American, 1817-1894), farming landscape with two women out in the field; oil on canvas; 15 1/2" x 19 1/2"; signed lower right. Weston was a professional artist and a resident of Lawrence, Kansas. She is noted for "The Spirit of Kansas", a monumental painting created for the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago.
