Testimonials
September 12, 2007 “On behalf of my client, I would like to thank you and your staff for the professional way you handled the sale of my client’s artifact collection this summer. My client is an elderly woman who recently made the difficult decision to sell the artifact collection she inherited from her late husband, which had been in the possession of her late husband and his father before him for more than fifty years. When I was approached by the client about finding a reputable company to appraise and sell the collection, I did not know where to turn. I first communicated with the curator for the Eiteljorg Museum, and he named your company along with a couple of others for me to contact. I spent some time communicating with other companies and possible sale agents until I had the opportunity to speak to your staff. Bill Krans was extremely helpful to me, my client and her family. He arranged a time to examine the collection at my client’s home and brought along an experienced appraiser of the artifacts in question. All questions my client or her family had regarding the artifacts were promptly answered. Ann Glasscock kept me advised by phone or email regarding any issues that needed to be addressed. My client felt comfortable and confident that your company was the right choice to sell her collection. Your staff took great care in packing, moving and cataloging the various items in the collection, many one of a kind artifacts. The catalog you produced optimally displayed the artifacts and was very professional in appearance. The advertising you arranged for the auction was specifically targeted to magazines and other media that would reach the people most likely to bid on these kinds of items. I was very happy with the large turnout that your targeted advertising achieved. The auction itself was a bittersweet experience for my client since she was selling family heirlooms with great emotional value to her and her family. Your staff was extremely sensitive to my client’s emotional state at the auction and their numerous acts of kindness to her during and after the auction to help her through the experience were greatly appreciated. DeWayne Butler did an extremely professional job of conducting the auction, which resulted in high bids for the items and a more than satisfactory monetary return for my client. I initially took on this legal matter with some trepidation since I did not know of a professional auction agent who could handle this type of sale with skill and honesty. My telephone contacts with other agents were not very reassuring. However, when I contacted your company, it quickly became clear to me that you and your staff were the right people to handle this once in a lifetime transaction for my client. Obviously, you have the highly skilled people to handle other people’s “once in a lifetime” auctions with maximum benefits to your customers and the peace of mind that comes with dealing with real professionals. Thanks again for your efforts Yours Truly, Stephen C. McNuttRynearson & AssociatesAttorneys at LawIndianapolis, Indiana "In the spring of 2006 my wife and I made a major life change to spend our retirement years on Sanibel Island on the gulf coast of Florida. We placed our Indianapolis home with a local realtor and much to our surprise received an offer the first day that it went on the market. The house was filled with a life time collection of Americana, primitives, and folk art. Our intent was not only to sell the house but also to share the collection through auction. We were truly “starting over”, but had not anticipated such a rapid turnover. We knew Dan as a savvy dealer and collector who was very knowledgeable with much of the material in our collection. On very short notice Antique Helper arranged an estate auction for the first week in June 2006. All of our precious, semi precious and hard to part with items were carefully catalogued, researched and photographed in preparation for the sale. Dan staged an intensive advertising campaign that reached all of the major antique trade papers. The ads were tastefully done and very informative. On the day of sale 24 members of his staff skillfully managed the main auction ring and a large tent sale of the remaining non catalogued items from the household. Bidding from the floor by an audience from throughout the country was supplemented by vigorous on line and phone bids. We could not have been more pleased with the results, and highly recommend Antique Helper as the premiere auction house in the Midwest and on the internet." I really didn't know what to expect when I first called. Any Doubts or fears I might have had were quickly pushed aside by everyone's professionalism. I greatly appreciate the kindness and personalized service as well. As for the auctions themselves, they succeeded beyond my expectations. I am so glad that I called Antique Helper. Thanks again for your personalized service. Please feel free to use me as a reference." - Vari Scudi (Hope's Antiques), 5-15-2005 "I'm so thankful that Dan and Jeb made the trip to Muncie las August and agreed to work with me to auction Dick's antique photo collection. I'm aware that not many auction galleries would have been as patient as you, letting me bring the auction items as I uncovered them hiding in the cabinets, drawers, and boxes in the basement...You've all helped make what seemd like an overwhelming task into an adventure, as each of you pitched in to make the auction a success. You're an exceptional team of talented folks and I would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone who might ask. I really don't know how you could have done any more thorough job, at this time and in this place." - Sherry Ware, 1-30-2003 "This is written to acknowledge the good work recently done by Antique Helper in selling a number of vintage household and decorative items for me. Dan Ripley and his staff carried out the work in a very effective, honest and ethical manner. They applied their knowledge of the antiques and collectibles market, with special expertise in objects of the early and mid 20th Century and in current hot collectibles, and identified the approximate values of th eitems to be sold. They identified some of the items that were of special value. They used their experience in determining the most appropriate of a variety of sales venues including, but not limited to, eBay and the Antique Helper gallery in the historic Midland Sash and Door building in Indianapolis. Throughout the process all of the Antique Helper staff were always very helpful(true to their name) as well as pleasant, likeable and cheerful. My experience working with Antique Helper was very enjoyable and satisfactory." - Eileen D. Hayes, June 2nd, 2003
