It is our distinct honor and unique pleasure to offer for sale, personal items from the collections of the first consecutive race winner of the Indianapolis 500, Wilbur Shaw.

The sale includes the prototype of today's winning driver's ring, the Borg Warner driver's trophies Shaw received for each of his three 500 wins, as well as a selection of other trophies and awards, photographs and memorabilia. Also offered will be personal items from Shaw's office and home, including furniture, a cherished collection of guns and knives, and other keepsakes.

This will be a live auction, conducted by catalog. A digital catalog will be posted in advance of the sale. Online bidding, and live audio/video broadcast provided by Artfact. Bids will be accepted absentee and by phone. Registration required in advance.

Auction Reserved Seating

Ticket reservations will be required, and seating is limited. Tickets may be purchased for $50 per seat which will be credited towards your buyer’s premium if a purchase is made during the auction. A private preview can be scheduled in advance of the auction with the purchase of a ticket. Tickets can be purchased by phone at 317.251.5635 between the hours of 10am-2pm Monday-Friday or through Paypal. Paypal payments can be sent to sales@ripleyauctions.com using the send money tab in Paypal.

Auction preview will be day-of-sale. Requests for personal preview prior to sale day will be considered. Please direct all requests for information to Ripley Auctions. No advance auction preview times or information will be provided by Indiana Landmarks.
